Anna Ehnold-Danailov
Originally from Berlin, Anna studied Theatre: Design for Performance at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design and received her Masters in Directing at Central School of Speech and Drama London. Anna has directed classical, physical, devised and site-responsive theatre as well as new writing. Her work has been featured in festivals and theatres throughout England, Germany, and Croatia. Directing credits beyond Flying Orchard include: The List at the Bush Theatre, Medea Pastiche at Upstairs at the Gatehouse, Pagan Love Songs for the Uninitiated (in collaboration with The Pensive Federation) at the Etcetera Theatre, The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at Latitude Festival; SPIEL at Camden People’s Theatre which toured to the Festival of Cultures Zagreb, STILL for the International Workshop Festival at Siobhan Davis Studios; Meta Morphosis /Better Morphosis at the Cochrane Theatre, London; and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Gruenderzeit Museum, Berlin. Design credits include Hamlet at the Arcola Theatre and Edinburgh Festival Fringe. She assisted director Polly Teale and worked for Shared Experience’s Youth Theatre.
Anna is also the founding member of Prams In The Hall, a collective providing support and opportunities for parents working in the theatre industry.
